Your day begins with a private pickup from your Cairo hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle for your domestic flight to Luxor. On arrival you meet your Desert Cruise Travel Egyptologist and head to the Karnak Temple, the largest ancient religious complex in the world, where you walk through the Forest of Pillars in the Great Hypostyle Hall. After a high-quality Egyptian lunch at a handpicked local restaurant, you visit the majestic Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, and enjoy free time to explore Luxor's traditional souks and markets for souvenirs. You then check in to your 5-star hotel for a restful overnight stay by the Nile.
Day 2 Luxor Fly to Cairo (West Bank)
After breakfast you cross to the West Bank of the Nile. You begin at the Colossi of Memnon, the two towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, then enter the Valley of the Kings to explore three magnificent royal tombs carved deep into the desert rock, famous for their preserved colours and carvings. You continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the dramatic mortuary temple of Egypt's most powerful female pharaoh set against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. After a traditional lunch you relax on a Felucca sail to Banana Island before your transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo.
