1. Day 1 Welcome to Cairo

   Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a Desert Cruise Travel representative warmly welcomes you and assists with immigration and customs. You are then transferred in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure to settle in and relax before a comfortable overnight stay in Cairo.

2. Day 2 The Giza Pyramids, Saqqara & Memphis

   After breakfast you meet your Egyptologist guide and private driver and head to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. You continue to Saqqara for the Step Pyramid of Djoser and to Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt. After lunch at a local restaurant you return to your hotel for an overnight in Cairo.

3. Day 3 The Grand Egyptian Museum & NMEC

   After breakfast you enjoy a full day of museum discovery. You begin at the Grand Egyptian Museum near the pyramids, exploring its Grand Hall, the main galleries, the Grand Staircase of royal statues and the gardens. You then visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, walking through Egypt's many historical eras and seeing the remarkable Royal Mummies Hall. After lunch at a local restaurant you return to your hotel for an overnight in Cairo.

4. Day 4 Islamic and Coptic Cairo: Citadel, Churches and Khan El Khalili

   After breakfast you set out to explore the religious and cultural heart of Cairo. You start at the Saladin Citadel, home to the alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, with panoramic views over the city. You continue to Coptic Cairo to visit early Christian landmarks such as the Church of Abu Serga and St Barbara Church, then wander the lantern-lit lanes of the Khan El Khalili bazaar for souvenirs, before returning to your hotel for an overnight in Cairo.

5. Day 5 Farewell Cairo

   After breakfast, and depending on your flight time, our representative transfers you privately to Cairo International Airport for your onward departure, at the end of your Cairo adventure.
